0 Acceptance of Terms
Welcome to RozBill. These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") are a legally binding agreement between you ("User", "you", or "your") and the RozBill team ("we", "us", or "our") governing your access to and use of the RozBill mobile application and any related cloud sync services (collectively, the "Service").
By downloading, installing, or using RozBill, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not install or use the app.
These Terms should be read alongside our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect and handle your data.
1 About the Service
RozBill is an offline-first mobile billing application designed for small businesses in India. The Service allows you to:
- Create and manage professional invoices and bills
- Manage a product or inventory catalogue with GST rates
- Manage customer contacts and track outstanding payments
- Export bills as PDF and share them via messaging apps
- Sync your business data securely to our cloud so it is available across your devices
RozBill is provided free of charge. We reserve the right to introduce optional paid features or subscription plans in the future; any such changes will be communicated in advance.
2 Eligibility
To use RozBill, you must:
- Be at least 18 years of age, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction
- Have the legal capacity to enter into a binding contract
- Not be prohibited from receiving the Service under applicable law
- Provide accurate information during account registration
RozBill is a business tool and is not intended for use by children under 13. By registering, you represent and warrant that you meet the eligibility requirements above.
3 Your Account
3.1 Registration
You create an account by providing your mobile phone number, a 4-digit PIN, and your business name. You are responsible for providing accurate and up-to-date information.
3.2 Account Security
You are solely responsible for keeping your PIN confidential and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to:
- Choose a PIN that you have not used on other services
- Not share your PIN with anyone
- Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access to your account
- Lock or secure the device on which RozBill is installed
We are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to comply with these security obligations.
3.3 One Account Per User
Each mobile number may only be registered to one RozBill account. Creating multiple accounts to circumvent restrictions or for fraudulent purposes is prohibited.
4 License to Use
Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable, personal licence to:
- Download and install RozBill on Android devices that you own or control
- Use the app solely for your own personal or internal business billing purposes
This licence does not include any right to:
- Sublicense, sell, resell, or transfer the app or your account to any third party
- Modify, adapt, translate, or create derivative works based on the app
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the app
- Use the app to provide billing services to third parties on a commercial basis (i.e., as a software vendor or reseller)
- Remove or alter any proprietary notices, labels, or marks
5 Acceptable Use
You agree to use RozBill only for lawful purposes. You must not:
- Use the Service to create invoices for illegal goods or services
- Attempt to probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of our systems or networks
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of our service or its related systems
- Transmit any malware, spyware, or other harmful code through the Service
- Use automated scripts to access or interact with the Service in a way that imposes an unreasonable load
- Impersonate any person or entity, or falsely represent your affiliation
- Collect or harvest any personally identifiable information from other users
- Use the Service to violate any applicable law, including GST regulations, consumer protection laws, or tax laws
Violation of these rules may result in immediate suspension or termination of your account without prior notice.
6 Your Data
6.1 Ownership
All business data you enter into RozBill — your customers, products, and bills — remains yours. We do not claim any ownership rights over your business data.
6.2 Licence to Host Your Data
By enabling cloud sync, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store, process, and transmit your data solely for the purpose of providing the sync service to you. We do not use your business data for any other purpose.
6.3 Accuracy of Data
You are solely responsible for the accuracy, completeness, and legality of the data you enter into RozBill. We are not responsible for any errors in invoices, tax calculations, or records that result from incorrect data entry by you.
6.4 Backup Responsibility
Although we provide cloud sync as a convenience, we recommend keeping your own backups of critical business records. We cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability of the sync service and are not liable for any data loss resulting from service outages.

How we collect, store, and handle your data is described in detail in our Privacy Policy.
7 Intellectual Property
The RozBill application, including its source code, design, logos, trademarks, graphics, and all other content created by us, is owned by RozBill and protected under Indian and international intellectual property laws.
Nothing in these Terms grants you any right to use the RozBill name, logo, or other brand features without our prior written consent.
If you believe that content in the Service infringes your intellectual property rights, please contact us at the address in Section 15.
8 Availability & Updates
8.1 Offline Operation
The core billing features of RozBill are designed to work fully offline. Cloud sync requires an active internet connection and is offered on a best-effort basis.
8.2 Service Interruptions
We may suspend or interrupt the cloud sync service for maintenance, updates, security incidents, or other operational reasons. We will endeavour to provide advance notice for planned maintenance, but this is not always possible.
8.3 App Updates
We may release updates to the RozBill app from time to time via Google Play. Some updates may be required to continue using the Service. We recommend keeping the app up to date to benefit from the latest features and security patches.
8.4 Discontinuation
We reserve the right to discontinue the Service at any time. If we decide to shut down RozBill, we will provide at least 30 days' advance notice and give you a reasonable opportunity to export your data.
9 Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, including:
- Any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement
- That the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components
- That the GST calculations, invoice formats, or any other output produced by the app are legally compliant for your specific business situation — always consult a qualified tax professional for compliance advice
- That data stored via cloud sync will never be lost or corrupted
10 Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, RozBill and its developers shall not be liable for any:
- Indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
- Loss of profits, revenue, business, data, or goodwill
- Damages arising from your reliance on GST calculations or invoice outputs
- Damages arising from unauthorised access to your account due to your failure to maintain PIN security
- Damages arising from service interruptions, data loss, or sync failures
Where liability cannot be excluded by law, our total liability to you for all claims arising out of or in connection with these Terms or the Service will not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim (or ₹1,000 if you have not paid us anything).
11 Termination
11.1 Termination by You
You may stop using RozBill at any time by uninstalling the app. To delete your account and all associated cloud data, contact us at the address in Section 15. Account deletion is processed within 30 days.
11.2 Termination by Us
We may suspend or permanently terminate your access to the Service, at our discretion and without prior notice, if:
- You breach any provision of these Terms
- We are required to do so by law or a regulatory authority
- Continued access poses a security risk to the Service or other users
11.3 Effect of Termination
Upon termination, your licence to use the Service ends immediately. Data stored locally on your device will remain accessible until you uninstall the app. Cloud-stored data will be deleted within 30 days of termination. Sections 7, 9, 10, 12, and 13 survive termination.
12 Governing Law & Disputes
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to conflict of law principles.
Any dispute, controversy, or claim arising out of or in connection with these Terms or the use of the Service shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation between the parties.
If the dispute cannot be resolved informally within 30 days, it shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of India.
13 Changes to These Terms
We may revise these Terms at any time. When we make material changes, we will:
- Update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page
- Display an in-app notification the next time you open RozBill
Your continued use of the Service after the revised Terms take effect constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms. If you do not agree to the revised Terms, please stop using the app and request account deletion.
14 General Provisions
14.1 Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and RozBill with respect to the Service and supersede all prior agreements and understandings.
14.2 Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
14.3 Waiver
Our failure to enforce any provision of these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of our right to enforce that provision in the future.
14.4 Assignment
You may not assign or transfer your rights or obligations under these Terms without our prior written consent. We may freely assign our rights and obligations.
